Lise attended the Ninth International Young Composers Academy in Tchaikovsky City from August 30 from September 12, 2019, receiving lessons from Bryn Harrison, Martin Schüttler, and Bernard Cavanna. Her piece ‘Five Times Recycled’ was premiered by Ivan Bushuev (bass flute) from the Moscow Contemporary Music Ensemble (MCME) on 14 September in Moscow.
Lise has been invited, alongside composer-performer James Alexandropoulos-McEwan, to curate a series of concerts hosted by Korzo Theater in The Hague.
They select and present a showcase of young musicians and projects that haven’t yet broken to the surface. These are works developed by their peers and collaborators working in the local music and art scene – be it in the context of local squat-based and D.I.Y. concerts, or projects born from Dutch music and art academies. The first edition took place on 31 May 2019.
Upcoming concert dates for the next season are:
3 October 2019
12 December 2019
6 February 2019
16 April 2019
Lise had the opportunity to (rediscover and) contribute arrangements of music by Moondog to the upcoming production of Dutch ensemble Neo-Fanfare. They will be touring with “Les Fauves” – with a premiére at Festival Classique – throughout The Netherlands in the summer.
